Charity Requests
Q - I'm organising a raffle for a local charity - could you donate some free tickets?
A - Due to the large number of free ticket requests we receive from charities on a daily basis, we have implemented a draw system, which takes place on the first day of every month. We require a written request on headed paper a minimum of two months before the charity event is due to take place. Regrettably we are only able to reply to those organisations that have been successful in one of our draws.
Please address your requests to:
The Marketing Department, Exeter Northcott Theatre, Stocker Road, Exeter, EX4 4QB.
Other FAQs
Q - Where is the Barbara Hepworth sculpture that used to adorn the plinth in the theatre foyer?
A - The much loved sculpture, Figure by Barbara Hepworth, which many will remember seeing at the Exeter Northcott, has a brand new permanent home in the University Reception (right next door to the theatre). Why not pop in next time you visit the theatre – you can’t miss the building as it also features a stunning architectural glass work by internationally renowned artist Alexander Beleschenko. We are currently working with the Devon Artist Network to present work by local artists on the plinth in the theatre foyer.
Q - I am a visual artist, how do I get a piece of my work on the plinth?
A - Please contact Jane Perkins to find out more about this project.
Professional Enquiries
Q - How does my theatre company get a booking to appear at the Exeter Northcott Theatre?
A - If you would like to perform at the Exeter Northcott Theatre please see the information we have prepared on this subject in the Visiting Companies section.
Q - Is the theatre available for hire?
A - We run a very busy programme of professional performances and regular community events but, when there is space in the schedule, we are happy to consider hiring the theatre to community arts groups or organisations seeking to hold conferences and meetings. We do not hire the theatre to organisations wishing to promote their own professional theatre, dance, music or personal appearances.
Q - Do you accept script submissions?
A - We generally programme productions created by touring companies and do not produce ourselves, which means that we are unable to accept scripts for consideration. We are unable to acknowledge any submissions so please do not send us scripts. Any future new writing opportunities will be advertised on our website.
Q - I am an actor, how do I get a role at the Exeter Northcott Theatre?
A - For the same reason as above we are not involved in casting for the shows that are presented here and cannot accept CVs from actors. We are unable to acknowledge any submissions so please do not waste your money by sending them to us. Any future casting opportunities will be advertised on our website.
