Peggy Seeger
Wren Music presents
Peggy Seeger
Sun 27 May 2012
Info
Sun 27 May 7.30pm
Peggy Seeger is considered to be one of North America's finest female folk singers. She can make traditional ballads or sea shanties sound timeless, yet as current as if written yesterday, accompanying herself on guitar, banjo, concertina, dulcimer or piano. Whether singing songs about ecology and the state of the world, love and life, or feminism and women’s issues, she is pure passion and commitment.
A benefit concert for Devon's folk arts charity Wren Music, of which Peggy Seeger is an Honorary Patron.
One of the most important people who ever graced and shaped the British folk scene”
