walking & cycling
We'd like to encourage those who are able to walk or cycle to the Theatre to do so whenever they can. There are several cycle paths and lanes in and around the Theatre and University Campus, to ensure the safety of cyclists.
by car
Follow the yellow signs to Car Parks A & B, located 5 – 10 mins walk from the theatre, near the Innovation Centre off North Park Road. A FREE Shuttle Bus links the car parks with the theatre for those who’d rather not walk. The bus operates in the two hours before each performance and an hour afterwards, with services running approximately every 10 minutes. Customers should easily spot the Shuttle Bus, which is run by Mid Devon Coaches and is clearly signed ‘Exeter Northcott Shuttle Bus’. There are also bus shelters for you wait in, should it be raining, and the service should add no more than 15 minutes to your journey.
The new city centre and car park shuttle buses have proved popular with customers since their introduction last autumn:
“It's quite a simple service really! We actually thought it was better than taking the car up there, we parked at the train station then got the bus there and back, no problem.”
Customer from Silverton on the City Bus service, Jan 2009
“I used to have to walk 50 or 60 yards to the theatre, but if I was late sometimes 200 yards. Now I can park and be delivered direct to the door.”
Pantomime Customer, Dec 2009
One Way Traffic System
Stocker Road has now become one-way. Incoming traffic from Prince of Wales Road will continue up the hill, but vehicles travelling from The Queens Drive are re-routed along North Park Road and Rennes Drive to exit the campus at the very bottom of Stocker Road.
The biggest demand for parking at Streatham Campus is expected to be between 9am and 6pm from Monday to Friday during the University term. For this reason we now only schedule schools matinee performances during term time and advise customers to travel to the theatre by coach for these performances.

Please contact the Box Office on 01392 493 493 if you have any queries about planning your visit.
