“Sasha Regan’s all-male productions of these Savoy operas have garnered quite a reputation over the past few years and HMS Pinafore is by far the strongest yet.” THE STAGE

We’ve been hearing about the phenomenon of Sasha Regan’s quirky take on Gilbert & Sullivan for some time and are thrilled to be able to bring the latest production to Exeter. One of the most popular G&S operas, dealing with the age old conundrum of love between social classes, HMS Pinafore has infectious tunes and a beautifully constructed libretto – a perfect match for Sasha Regan’s inimitable style, fresh, fast, inventive and fun.

“Regan’s production is stripped bare, leaving room to bring out the sharp satire of the piece as well as Gilbert’s superb lyrics and Sullivan’s beautiful harmonies.”
TIME OUT

“Regan’s quirky premise maintains the spirit and invention of the original.”
