Izindava

  • Show Information

Izindava is dynamic, bold and breath-taking to watch.

Synthesising ballet, contemporary and African dance, Bawren Tavaziva’s new work explores human fragility within our changing world.

Meaning ‘news’ in the Zimbabwean language Shona, the work is performed through a film-scape of street life in Harare. The sounds, rituals and body languages create a beautiful yet haunting choreography performed by a cast of stunning dancers.

Bawren’s unbridled and intricate movement unearths raw emotions that are intense, unsettling and unforgettable.
