Launch Live: Scratch Night

  • Show Information

Join Exeter Northcott Futures for Launch Live: Scratch Night, an exciting evening of work-in-progress performances, created and performed by Devon-based artists. This is an opportunity for you to see a show in development, as it transforms from the seed of an idea into a live performance.

During this evening, will be 4 short performances, including work by Paul Braund and Siân Keen:

Paul Braund will be presenting Heart of Soho – On a wild post-lockdown night in Soho, the lives of enigmatic hustler Arlo and struggling police officer Danyilo, collide, and for both of them, nothing will be the same again.

Siân Keen is a theatre deviser and performer who has been making critically acclaimed work in Devon for the past 8 years. These Monsters Have Scales is her first independent theatre project off the back of her BBC Arts commissioned audio piece I don’t know what to tell you, it’s clearly just weight-related. These Monsters Have Scales plays with subverting and messing around with Siân’s monsters of diet culture, hoping to expose the truth and make life more comfortable in her skin. There should be songs, flip flops and maybe even a magic trick with a chocolate penguin bar – who knows! Come along to find out!
