This exciting and moving adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet follows the ‘Jets’ an American gang, and their rivals, the Puerto Rican ‘Sharks’ in their intense rivalry for command of the streets of 1950s New York. Amidst their conflict, love endures when Tony meets Maria. As the young lovers yearn to escape the opposition that surrounds them it soon escalates to a point of no return, with a climatic and tragic finale. Come and experience this multi-award winning musical, with a memorable composition from the legendary Leonard Bernstein. In a heart wrenching story of racial and emotional conflict, who will take control of the streets of New York?
