2 hours – drop in and out. Performances at 1.30 and 3 pm.
All agesFor one day only we are your personal poet laureates, battling it out in an effort to win your patronage and praise. But who will be your favourite? Only one of us gets the gold, and it all comes down to you.
You are our Kings and Queens. So put on your crown and tell us what you want your poem to be. It might be about aliens, your favourite dog or a particularly tasty packet of Monster Munch… Your wish is our command.
Find Chris and Harula upstairs in the Orange Room. Tell them what you want your personal poem to be about, and in 3 minutes they will have whipped up 2 very different pieces for your delectation. Which one is best? Who will you give your gold coin to?
Chris and Harula will also be doing 2 x 15min spoken-word performances during the day.
At 1.30 pm you can catch them delivering a selection of silly, soaring and sublime poems suitable for all the family. And at 3pm, they’ll grace the stage again with a selection of poems written throughout the day, including a community poem written by and for the people of Newcourt.

Come and join the Fishsko Disco!
The Fishko Disco is accompanied by a recycled bottle disco-fish puppet making workshop, which will run in the Green Room between 10.30 am – 2 pm. Bring an empty plastic bottle and turn it into your very own disco fish – then take it along to boogie with the Fishko Disco!
