Volunteer

Join our extended family of valued volunteers

Volunteers are a vital part of the Northcott team, whether they’re helping us look after audiences at the theatre Front of House or getting involved in specific initiatives like our recent Archive project.

In the next year, as we look to program both the Northcott and Barnfield venues, volunteers are going to be more important to the organisation than ever in continuing to help us provide a fantastic service to our audiences and community. Which is why we’re looking to recruit more front of house volunteers and are planning to offer a range of volunteer training over the coming year.

If you’re interested in getting involved, learning, and getting hands-on experience about what it takes to run a venue, and have a little spare time you’re willing to share, then we’d love to hear from you.

Whatever your age or background, if you enjoy theatre and can commit to working front of house for two performances a month alongside like-minded people in a friendly, inclusive environment, then volunteering with Exeter’s theatre could be for you. We are certain you’ll find your time with us valuable and rewarding.

I absolutely LOVE volunteering with the Northcott Front of House Team. It’s been a great opportunity for me as a student to meet other like-minded individuals who enjoy theatre, whilst helping in the community at the same time! I love watching the shows as well – that’s such a bonus!

“I enjoy helping at a great venue, with professional friendly colleagues, welcoming positive enthusiastic audience members, to have a great night out, watching live performances. What is there not to like.”
