We can enjoy live theatre again!
The Northcott is set to reopen from 21 May for performances only. For the time being, our bar will only be open around performance times.
Book with confidence
Covid safety measures are in place
Including temperature checks, socially-distanced seating on performances in the near future, one-way systems and a pre-order service so that drinks can be collected easily before the show and brought to your seats at the interval.
If you or anyone in your party is affected by COVID, we offer a no-quibble credit or refund. Just contact us as soon as you’re able.
Booking in bubbles
Certain performances can only be booked in bubbles. Up to six people made from one or two households or support bubbles are welcome to book seats together.Contact our Box Office Team
We’ve been awarded the Visit England ‘Good To Go’ kitemark for our Covid measures
We’re here to help!
We’re laying on additional staff to guide you through the building and answer any questions or concerns you might have, and all of our team will be wearing visors or working behind screens.
Pre-Order & Collect Food and Drink
We’ve introduced a pre-order option for drinks and snacks, with pre-show orders ready for you to collect without the need to queue at the bar, and interval orders delivered straight to your seat. Pre-orders can be placed from the relevant event pages on our website from several days before the performance up until one hour before the performance starts.
We’ve moved over to digital tickets for the majority of our customers, so you won’t need to present a printed ticket to get into the theatre. Printed tickets can still be requested from our Box Office if needed.
On arrival, your temperature will be taken, and for the safety of the rest of our audience, if you exhibit a raised temperature you, along with those in your bubble, will not be able to stay for the performance. However, we’ll happily transfer your tickets to an alternative performance, or refund/credit the value of your ticket and any pre-orders.
One-Way System & Clear Signage
We’ve introduced a simple one-way system so you can maintain social distancing while moving around the theatre, and we’ve installed plenty of signage to help you find your way.
Early Access To Seats
We’ll open the auditorium half an hour before every show so that you can head straight to your seats when you arrive.
For the earliest upcoming performances, we’re selling seats in ‘bubbles’, meaning that you’ll be able to maintain social distancing while you’re watching the show, and get to your seats without passing anyone who’s already seated. A number of 2021 performances are currently on sale at full capacity, but rest assured we’re constantly reviewing seating arrangements and will always adhere to government guidelines.
Hand Sanitiser Stations
We’ve installed automatic hand sanitiser stations at multiple locations throughout the theatre.
We’ve introduced an enhanced cleaning regime in all public areas of the theatre.
New Ventilation System
Our auditorium has a recently-installed full fresh air ventilation system which we’ve had tested to ensure it meets Covid-secure standards.
Thank you for a super evening; the organisation and Covid safety were extremely good, and we all felt very safe. A great night out!

Here’s how you can help
Please check in when you arrive
Following the latest government guidelines, every visitor now has to check in when visiting any indoor venue, to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.
The easiest way to do this is to scan the theatre’s QR code, which will be displayed clearly at the building entrance, using the NHS COVID-19 app. Paper registration will also be available at the theatre.
If you’re unwell…
If you or anyone in your household has Coronavirus symptoms, please don’t visit us. We will happily talk to you about ticket options so you can get well and return when it’s safe.
When you’re here…
Please follow the signage and instructions for moving around the building, and use the hand sanitiser stations situated throughout the theatre.
Wear a face covering
Please wear a face covering whilst you’re in the theatre – this includes while watching the show. You will, of course, need to remove it to eat and drink but please remove it for this purpose only.
Talk to us
Please let us know how we’re doing. This is new for us all and we are here to help and improve anything we can. Speak to any of our staff when you visit or email us with any concerns or feedback.Send us an email
We were very impressed; the seating arrangements were perfectly distanced – couldn’t have been better – and the signage was perfectly clear. A really enjoyable evening.
