A Launchpad for South West theatre makers

We’re committed to making Devon a place where theatre makers, whatever their background or heritage, can develop their creative practice and build careers within the arts, which is why in 2019 we launched Exeter Northcott Futures, a programme of support and professional development resources for emerging theatre makers.

Exeter Northcott Futures is kindly supported by The Noel Coward Foundation, The Idlewild Trust and The Mackintosh Foundation.

Being part of the Futures Programme has been really helpful. It has broken down some of the unknowns of the industry. It’s been a well-rounded learning experience; meeting the group and working together in the space, having a community.

Associate Artists & Companies

We’re already supporting three established South West companies through our ‘Associate’ scheme, Richard Chappell Dance, Jack Dean & Company and Viv Gordon Co, but we’re now offering two further opportunities for artists or companies at a pivotal stage in their development to access a bespoke package of mentoring, practical support, production investment and performance/project opportunities:
