We’re committed to making Devon a place where theatre makers, whatever their background or heritage, can develop their creative practice and build careers within the arts, which is why in 2019 we launched Exeter Northcott Futures, a programme of support and professional development resources for emerging theatre makers.

Are you an Artist or a Company interested in finding out more about our Artist Development programme? Or someone who’d like to find out what being a Producer really means? We have 4 taster sessions lined up to give you an insight into our Futures programmes, for you to ask any questions you might have before you apply, and to meet some of the Northcott team.
Mon 30 Nov, 6pm – Introduction to Futures with Helen Bovey (Producer Artist Development)
Mon 7 Dec, 6pm – Taster ‘Fundraising’ with Charlotte Hanson (Head of Projects & Participation)
Mon 14 Dec, 6pm – Taster ‘Directing’ with Daniel Buckroyd (Artistic Director & Chief Executive)
Mon 21 Dec, 6pm – Taster ‘Marketing’ with Kelly Johnson (Marketing & Development Director)
All sessions will take place via Zoom and you can choose to sign up for all of the sessions or a selection.

Being part of the Futures Programme has been really helpful. It has broken down some of the unknowns of the industry. It’s been a well-rounded learning experience; meeting the group and working together in the space, having a community.
